What makes Whitfield Records special?

Rose Royce are the flagship: “In Full Bloom” with “Wishing On A Star”, “Rainbow Connection IV”, “Golden Touch” and “R.R. Express”. The Undisputed Truth, whom Whitfield had already produced at Motown, bring psychedelic funk with “Method To The Madness” and “Smokin’”.

Plus Willie Hutch with “Midnight Dancer”, Spyder Turner with “Music Web” and the bands Nytro and Mammatapee. The sound combines Whitfield’s long, driving arrangements with the disco groove of the late seventies.
