In short: Altın Gün was founded in Amsterdam in 2016 by bassist Jasper Verhulst and gives Turkish folk songs a new life – with saz, organ, psychedelic guitars and funk rhythms. Their album “Gece” was nominated for a Grammy. The Vinyl Room currently has 4 records by Altın Gün.
Old songs, fresh energy: on their first album “On” and on “Gece”, Altın Gün combine Anatolian folk music with the sound of the seventies.
