What makes Glitterbeat special?

Old songs, new groove: Altın Gün from Amsterdam play Turkish folk songs with fuzz guitar, organ and funk – “Gece” (2019) was nominated for a Grammy, “Yol” (2021) sounds more electronic. On “The Age Of Aquarius”, YĪN YĪN from Maastricht mix disco and funk with sounds from Southeast Asia.

Quite different is Park Jiha from Korea: on “The Gleam”, released on the Glitterbeat imprint tak:til, she creates calm, floating soundscapes with traditional instruments.
