What makes Bongo Joe special?

Old songs, new sound: Altın Gün from Amsterdam play Turkish folk songs with organ, fuzz guitar and groove on “On”.

Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek work in a similar way: the singer plays the long-necked lute bağlama, and the band mixes Anatolian folk with psychedelia – here on “Kar Yağar” and “Nem Kaldı”. Plus the compilation “Club Coco”.
