Maverick

Maverick on vinyl: Madonna’s label

In short: Madonna founded Maverick in 1992 together with Warner – as her own label for her music and for new artists. Her records from the nineties to the mid-2000s came out here, as well as Alanis Morissette and soundtracks such as “Kill Bill Vol. 2”. The Vinyl Room currently has 11 Maverick records.

What makes Maverick special?

Madonna’s nineties: “Bad Girl” and “Rain” from the “Erotica” era, “Secret” from “Bedtime Stories” – often in remixes for the clubs. With “Music” (2000) came the electronic pop of her collaboration with producer Mirwais.

Then “Nothing Fails” and “American Life (American Dream Mixes)” from “American Life”, and “Hung Up” from “Confessions On A Dance Floor” with the ABBA sample. Plus the soundtrack to Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill Vol. 2”.
