What makes Jagjaguwar special?

Justin Vernon, as Bon Iver, recorded most of “For Emma, Forever Ago” in a cabin in Wisconsin – a quiet album that made his name. We also have “Blood Bank” and “Bon Iver, Bon Iver”. Angel Olsen with “My Woman” and Sharon Van Etten with “We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong” stand for strong, personal indie rock.

The soul side: Moses Sumney with “Aromanticism” and Chicago’s Jamila Woods with “Heavn” and “Legacy! Legacy!”. Plus Lonnie Holley, artist and musician from Alabama, with “Mith” and “Oh Me Oh My”, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra with “Sex & Food”.
