What makes Apple Records special?

“The Beatles”, known as the “White Album” because of its white cover, was the first Beatles album on Apple in 1968. “Abbey Road” (1969) and “Let It Be” (1970) followed. “Please Please Me” originally dates from 1963 and Parlophone – here as an edition with the Apple label.

The solo years: Paul and Linda McCartney with “Ram” (1971) and John Lennon with “Imagine” (1971). With Beatles records in particular, it pays to look at the label and the matrix – country and pressing year reveal a lot about an edition.
