What makes Julia Holter special?

Each album creates a world of its own: “Tragedy” (2011) takes up a Greek tragedy by Euripides, “Loud City Song” (2013) was inspired by the story “Gigi”. With “Have You In My Wilderness” (2015) her songs became more accessible and warmer.

“In The Same Room” shows her band live in the studio, and “Aviary” (2018) is a large, many-voiced sound painting full of strings, horns and voices.
