Beach House

Beach House on vinyl: dream pop from Baltimore

In short: Beach House are Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally from Baltimore. Since 2004 they have been making dream pop – floating organs, reverb-drenched guitars and Legrand’s deep, warm voice. The Vinyl Room currently has 5 Beach House records.

What makes Beach House special?

Music like a slow dream: the debut “Beach House” (2006) and “Devotion” (2008) sound intimate and hazy. With “Bloom” (2012) came bigger, glowing songs, and “Depression Cherry” (2015) returned to quieter tones.

“Once Twice Melody” (2022) is their longest work so far – a double album with strings and plenty of space.
