Mariachi

Mariachi on vinyl: music from western Mexico

In short: Mariachi comes from western Mexico, above all from the state of Jalisco: violins, trumpets, guitar, the small vihuela and the large guitarrón bass accompany song and dance. Since 2011 mariachi has been part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. The Vinyl Room currently has 20 mariachi records.
