Holiday

Holiday on vinyl: Christmas records with jazz, gospel and pop

In short: Holiday gathers records for the festive season – above all Christmas music. Jazz musicians, gospel singers and pop stars have recorded familiar carols such as “Silent Night” again and again and written festive songs of their own. The Vinyl Room currently has 10 holiday records.

What are holiday records?

Jazz for the season: the Ramsey Lewis Trio with “Sound Of Christmas” and “More Sounds Of Christmas” and The Mastersounds with “Happy Holiday”.

Voices and traditions: Mahalia Jackson with “Silent Night – Songs For Christmas”, “A Christmas Gift For You” with The Ronettes, The Crystals and Darlene Love, “Navidad Latina” by the Latin Spice Band and Hungarian Christmas songs by Márta Sebestyén and Levente Szörényi.
