In short: Conjunto simply means ensemble in Spanish. In South Texas, conjunto tejano is the music of button accordion and bajo sexto, a twelve-string guitar, plus bass and drums – polkas, rancheras and boleros for dancing. The style also takes in other Latin American ensembles. The Vinyl Room currently has 10 conjunto records.
