Warp Records

Warp on vinyl: electronic music for listening

In short: Warp began in Sheffield in 1989, founded by people from a record shop. With the “Artificial Intelligence” series from 1992 the label showed that electronic music works beyond the club – out of this came what is often called IDM today. Aphex Twin, Autechre and Boards of Canada made Warp known. The Vinyl Room currently has 26 Warp records.
