What makes Salsoul Records special?

The Salsoul sound: lush strings and horns, driving percussion – and remixes that stretched the tracks out for the dance floor. Carol Williams with “’Lectric Lady”, Instant Funk with “The Funk Is On”, Aurra with “Such A Feeling” and Tierra with “Stranded” show the path from disco to funk and boogie.

Kebekelektrik, a disco project from Quebec, is a small discovery. And the compilations – Dimitri From Paris’ “My Salsoul”, “Disco Divas And Soulful Sista Flavas” and “The Salsoul Acappellas” – show how DJs later rediscovered the catalogue.
