How often?

Dimitri From Paris on vinyl: disco with French chic

In short: Dimitri From Paris is a French DJ and producer. With his debut “Sacrebleu” (1996) he brought together lounge, sixties film music and house. Later he became known above all as a disco connoisseur: he re-cuts old disco tracks (edits) and puts together collections that DJs play all over the world. The Vinyl Room currently has 12 Dimitri From Paris records.

What makes Dimitri From Paris special?

His sense of style: “Une Very Stylish Fille” from “Sacrebleu” sounds like Paris, a cocktail bar and an old film. We have the remixes of it, as well as “After The Playboy Mansion” – in a laid-back and an uplifting selection – and “Cocktail Disco Volume Two”.

Important for disco collectors are “My Salsoul” with tracks from the New York label Salsoul, “Night Dubbin’” with long dub versions and “The Kings Of Disco”, which he compiled with the British DJ Joey Negro.
