What makes Asylum Records special?

The Eagles stand for seventies Californian rock: “Hotel California” (1976) and “Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975)”, regarded as one of the best-selling albums ever. Plus “Urban Cowboy”, the soundtrack to the John Travolta film.

There is soul too: Booker T. & The MG’s with “Universal Language”, Teddy Pendergrass with “Workin’ It Back” and Xavion with “Burnin’ Hot”. The more recent Asylum era is represented by Ed Sheeran with “X” and “÷ (Divide)”, Rudimental with “Home” and Charli XCX with “Crash”.
