What makes 20th Century Fox Records special?

The disco years: Gene Chandler, the “Duke of Earl” of the sixties, came back with “Get Down” and “’80”. Stephanie Mills had “Sweet Sensation”, the album with “Never Knew Love Like This Before”, and Leon Haywood’s “Naturally” contains “Don’t Push It Don’t Force It”.

Plus Edwin Starr with “H.A.P.P.Y. Radio”, Kinsman Dazz – the later Dazz Band – with “Dazz”, Carl Carlton, the Staple Singers with “Hold On To Your Dream” and the Chi-Lites with “Me And You”. And because a film studio was behind it, there’s film music too: “9 To 5” by Charles Fox.
