Tenderlonious

Tenderlonious on vinyl: flute between jazz and house

In short: Behind Tenderlonious is Ed Cawthorne from London – flautist, saxophonist and producer. With his label 22a and his band Ruby Rushton he is part of the London scene where jazz, broken beat and house flow into each other. The Vinyl Room currently has 5 Tenderlonious records.

What makes Tenderlonious special?

He brings the flute into the club: “On Flute” shows him with a warm, slightly rough tone over deep grooves. On “The Shakedown” he plays with his band The 22archestra – jazz with Afrobeat energy.

Plus short formats for DJs: the split with Al Dobson Jr., “All Your Way / Bob’s Riddim” and “Kraksa / Svantetic”, for which the Polish band EABS brought him in.
