What makes Les McCann Ltd. special?

His debut was called “The Truth” – and you can hear the church in it: gospel chords, rhythms that make you clap along. We have “The Truth”, “The Shout”, “Les McCann Ltd. In San Francisco”, “Pretty Lady”, “The Gospel Truth” and “On Time”.

Add “It’s About Time” with tenor saxophonist Teddy Edwards. McCann also supported others: he brought organist Richard “Groove” Holmes to Pacific Jazz, and together they recorded “Somethin’ Special”.
