What makes Volt special?

Otis Redding is here with “Otis Blue / Otis Redding Sings Soul” (1965) and “The Otis Redding Dictionary Of Soul” (1966) – two albums regarded as high points of his work. The Bar-Kays play instrumental soul on “Soul Finger” (1967); four members died with Redding in a plane crash that same year. “Gotta Groove” (1969) was recorded by the rebuilt band.

Plus Darrell Banks with “Here To Stay”, Mavis Staples with her first solo album, Kim Weston with “Kim Kim Kim” and The Dramatics with “A Dramatic Experience” from the seventies.
