In short: One Little Indian was founded in London in 1985 by people from the anarcho-punk scene around Derek Birkett. What makes One Little Indian special?

The Sugarcubes came from Reykjavík; their debut “Life’s Too Good” (1988) came out in the UK on One Little Indian. When Björk went solo in 1993, she stayed with the label. Among other things we have “Debut”, “Post”, “Homogenic”, “Vespertine”, “Medúlla” and “Selmasongs”, plus singles and 12-inch singles such as “Human Behaviour”, “Jóga” and “Possibly Maybe”.

One Little Indian also released other artists, for example Cody ChesnuTT. Many Björk albums are now available as reissues – whether it’s a first pressing or a later edition, you’ll see in the record’s details.
