What makes Nonesuch special?

Rock from Ohio: the Black Keys – Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney – came to Nonesuch in 2006 with “Magic Potion”; in our stock “Attack & Release”, “Turn Blue” and “Let’s Rock” show them between psychedelic soul and raw guitar rock. Vagabon adds indie pop.

The jazz side: Brad Mehldau recorded “Suite: April 2020” alone at the piano in the first weeks of the pandemic. Guitarist Jeff Parker with “Suite For Max Brown” and cornetist Rob Mazurek with the Exploding Star Orchestra stand for open-minded jazz that combines groove, electronics and improvisation.
