What makes Muse Records special?

Jazz the way it sounds in the club: alto saxophonist Richie Cole recorded “Alive! At The Village Vanguard” (1981) in the famous New York basement. “The Last Stitt Sessions” captures Sonny Stitt shortly before he died in 1982.

Muse also brought treasures out of the archive: on “I’ll Remember” clarinettist Tony Scott plays with Bill Evans, Jimmy Garrison and Pete La Roca in 1959. Plus Kenny Barron on piano in a duo with guitarist Ted Dunbar on “In Tandem”, pianist Joe Bonner with “Angel Eyes” and organist Bu Pleasant with “Ms. Bu”.
